We are blazing trails in the Modern App Development space using augmented reality with the HoloLens and we are building world class digital work spaces, harnessing Office 365 and other Microsoft tools and technologies. The User Experience team at Concurrency plays a crucial role in making sure that our deliverables carry and are infused with great usability and user centricity.

As a Associate UX Engineer, you'll collaborate with multiple areas of the business, including User Experience, Modern Applications, Productivity & Collaboration, etc. You'll have an opportunity to build your skills in all aspects of UX and UI, from research and information architecture to visual design and prototyping. You'll contribute to presales efforts as well as client projects across a wide variety of industries.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is passionate about usability. Someone who isn't afraid of pushing the boundaries but can also maintain Concurrency's UI and UX process across projects and disciplines. As we are small and constantly growing, this is a vital aspect of our UX team's continuity.


  • Assist UX team in editing, modifying or creating wireframes, visual designs, prototypes, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams consisting of user experience, architects, software developers, project managers and business analysts from requirements to release.
  • Visualize data across multiple in compelling and understandable ways across multiple platforms.
  • Design iteratively based on user research and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities and shifts of focus throughout a typical workday.


  • 1+ year experience in design, front-end development, computer science or related field.
  • Understanding of user-centered design best practices.
  • Strong emphasis on collaboration and communicating ideas effectively.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch, Invision, Adobe XD or related design/prototyping tools.
  • Working understanding of CSS, HTML, JavaScript, JQuery and responsive breakpoints to know what is and is not possible during development.
  • Knowledge of Bootstrap or other responsive frameworks, native desktop or mobile application design or development standards are a plus.
  • Microsoft SharePoint design/development standards are a plus.
  • A portfolio of recent work that expresses versatility and complexity.
